Design 101: Structural Abstraction

This is one of my most memorable pieces to come out of college. I got sick while working on it, it was the first A- I got in design, some serious things happened to an acquaintance, and I learned to never wear an unwashed, newly bought red sweater over light coloured pants. This was also the first of our projects that were hung up on the walls of the school... but only the best got picked from each class... and mine was one of them!

This, again, is a photograph... I wish I could have taken a better one, but each of the panels is 6 inches on the horizontal... so as you can imagine, this piece is VERY LONG. And again, this is cut paper, all except the first panel, which is a photocopy of a photograph.

Basically the project was the abstract and simplify the building in the image more and more with each step.
